We recommend you fly in on Wednesday (February 19) at the latest to settle in before festivities start on Thursday. Fly into the Oaxaca City airport (OAX), which is a 20-30 minute drive from the city center.

Once you land, find a taxi desk at the arrivals hall where you will need to pre-pay a fixed price according to the area you are heading. You have two options to choose from: 1) 'Colectivo' - 12-seater minivan that you share with other people to the city center or 2) 'Special' - A private taxi.

Your hotel can also schedule a taxi to meet you at the arrivals hall. This is usually how we get into town. Message your hotel before your arrival to schedule transportation.
